Alter it!

Hello friends

So its the 1st of December.....wow!!
Only 24 days til Santa arrives!
Where has the year gone??
Well Ive been a busy bee this week ............
I was asked by the lovely peeps at Alter it Monthly to be a guest artist for December
the theme is Celestrial hop here for more info

So I set about altering a photo frame....
I used Rangers Foil tape to cover the frame. then used ten second studio tools to add texture. The whole frame was then covered in black soot Adirondack paint

When it had dried I gently rubbed away the excess paint. The star letters are grunge letters covered in the foil.
I then used a Sizzix die, to cut out the stars, these were then covered in distress stains(walnut stain) when it was completely dry I then heat embossed using Tim Holtz distress powders

The stamp in the photo frame is stamped on an old page from a book, and the the stamp is  by Wendy Vecchi.

I added some cogs and more stars and using a mini alphabet I stamped "When you wish upon a star"

I really hope you like it!
Feel free to leave a comment as I always love to read them!

I would like to enter this into the SSSSC whose theme is Stars, hop over here for a look at all the entries and the very talented DT teams work - You may even be in with a chance of winning $50 spending spree

Thanks so much for popping by
stay inky
