Hello friends
Hope you are all good!
Its officially the weekend!! YAY!
I took to a late night in my Shabby shed last night.....as
yesterday I took delivery of a
few of Tim Holtz Stamp sets I bought from Art from the heart....
I couldn't wait to hop over to the dark side and get grungy!
(and to escape the man flu epidemic that has taken over our house!)
I used Distress inks in Antique Linen and Walnut stain along with Black Archival ink and stamped with the new Tim Holtz background Mixed media and Remnants stamps.....I just love these sets!
I used an old negative and light bulb from my vintage stash with a Mica flake stamps with the little label set threaded some rusty wire through some eyelets.
attached some staples and some Ideaology filmstrip, spinners and hitch fasteners
I added some stamps fro a little bit of grunge set and covered the whole tag with beeswax to give it a more translucent look.
I Really enjoyed creating this tag....
I was desperate to get some inky time.....
sometimes you have to just shut yourself away from it all and just create
...........Im feel so much better for it!
Feel free to leave a comment would love to know what you think
Have yourselves a great weekend whatever you are doing and remember to
stay inky!
hugs
Kaz

ReplyDeleteThis was a havy week for me.
ReplyDeleteA friend of me had a fire in her kitchen.
It wasn't big but all her Tim Holtz stamps were lost. Everything in her kitchen was black. It takes 3 weeks for cleaning up en repairs. The 28 Feb. is her birtday and I bought for her a new Tim Holts stamp dat she used much. I like your grungy tag. I can't wait for the new stamps from Tim. I,m getting a little bit greedy.
<3 Heart this very much.. not used all my timmy stamps yet, maybe today i should have a play!

Ahh, it must be the beeswax that gives the card the final ooomph. Not that it needed much, it's so terrifically grungy. Always fun to see what you create in the Shabby Shed.
