Vintage Book

 Hello friends
Hope you are all well!
Just a quickie post to share this vintage inspired make!

I have been out and about looking for all things vintage and came across this really
old and shabby book
( a little bit like me!)
Its a full of poems and stories from the 1800s!

The young man in the photograph grabbed my attention too....
while rummaging through boxes at an antique fair he literally fell out of the box,
So I thought I would give him a new life and make him a focal point of my book cover
I used lots of Rangers Glue and seal and Gesso
Some walnut stain distress stains and inks by Tim Holtz
I used Idea-ology and Remnant Rub-ons
Along with some of my own vintage finds.........
an old buckle, stamps and pins
I also used Tims alphabet stamp on the background
I stamped some numbers in Archival ink
(I love old keys......just saying!)
Thanks for popping by......
As always feel free to leave a comment
Always great to know you popped by
Have a great week!

  23. I love how you use old books as the base for your artwork - brilliant idea. And works perfectly with your vintage layers and finds. I love all the little details on this one (the drawer pull that you just wanna touch) and number 75 under glass - love numbers. Kinda becoming obsessed with numbers.
