4th of July

Hello friends...
Pinch punch its the first day of the month!!
Wow July already. I hope you've had a great week
I thought I would join my American friends and create something to celebrate the 4th of July....
Ive always loved this photo from Tim Holtz found relatives pack.....
it was just the perfect image to use.
I started by tearing out a page from an old scrap book album and
adding gesso randomly with my brayer.....
I then added lots and lots of stitching, splats of distress paints and some stamping of stars

On my vintage travels i found a really cool ribbon holder (think its meant for medals) and threaded on some red, white and blue ribbon
To finish I added more layers of paper and the word thankful. along with a vintage ruler.
So to my American friends.... I wish you all a very Happy 4th of July!

As always feel free to leave a comment, I really do appreciate each one
I hope you have a great weekend

hope to be back soon
