Hello friends

Hope you are all good!
I can't believe its nearly the end of May!
How did that happen?
life has been a little hectic of late... hope to get back creating very soon.

I love to create grunge, Im always inspired by Tim, Seth Apter and Andy Skinner
(they totally rock the grunge!)

So here's my take on a grungy panel that I created using a black piece of card.
I started off creating the background with layers of Distress oxides....I just stamped using actual ink pads to layer the inks, drying in-between..
I then added layers of distress paints...
The bolts are from Tim's Industrial die by size
the key is from my vintage collection
I added some washers and painted them with rust paste
To finish I added lots of drips of distress paints, a quote chip from Idea-ology and some grungy stars.

As always feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate each and everyone.

Hope you enjoy the sunshine....its warming up nicely in the UK!
back soon!

Hello friends

Hope you are all good!
Today I want to share a quick post all about the
new Tim Holtz Assemblage Jewellery line...its seriously a must have!!
The Assemblage line is only available in the USA and is exclusive to Joanns stores
(but I've been super enough to get my hands on some!)

I'm a huge fan of the leather cuffs,
so when I saw that Tim had released some I was very happy!
Heres some close ups....
this one was distressed with a little sandpaper
On this next cuff,
I actually stamped on this cuff using Archival ink.....
its stamped perfectly!
This cuff was also distressed again to give a cool worn look
Heres a close up of all three!
I've really loved working with the cuffs and what I
like the most is that you don't need any fancy equipment.
I also love that the word bands are interchangeable so you can swap them about!

Check out Tim's blog here for a close up of all the new additions.....
I know I want more of them and my shopping list is growing!

As always feel free to leave a comment, always great to know you popped by!
Have a great week

Tiny houses....

Hello friends

Hope you are all good!
Happy May day to you!
Sorry Ive not been around much....
Life has been pretty hectic of late
and Ive been really busy enjoying some much needed
 family/friends time!

Today I thought I would share a couple of Tiny houses from Tim Holtz/Sizzix
I love creating with this die...
( one of my favourites!)
After cutting the die out, I gessoed the chipboard.
Next I painted with distress paint,
when it was dry I sanded the colour back with some sandpaper to give a worn look.
I then painted them with vintage collage medium.
I mixed up some of the paper dolls with the botanical ephemera pack
I then added some clippings for the words and some of the Idea-ology tape
The stars are from Idea-ology too!

The paper dolls were painted with distress paints

I hope you like them!
As always feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate you popping by!
Have a lovely week!
