Creative Chemistry UK

Hello friends!

Hope you are all good!
Ive just returned home after a really exciting weekend completing Tim Holtz Creative chemistry workshop at the home to Dyan Reaveleys studio....Art from the heart, in Harrogate UK
(the really sad thing was that Dy was away teaching down under in Australia....we really missed you Dy!)

A big huge thank you to Ben, for the mammoth task of organising the workshops....there's so much work that goes into the organisation not just for the workshops but for the shop too, you did us proud...if you've not been to Art from the heart do try and go....the shop is stacked high with paints, pens, papers, stencils, stamps etc...theres something for everyone!

Secondly a big thank you to the gorgeous Su and Ali who looked after me, Im so grateful for your time, the giggles and most of all your friendship
(you girls are the best!)

So heres some photos of the weekend....

It was lovely to catch up with friends old and new....
(hope I've not missed anyone out!)
Creative Chemistry UK was packed full of techniques, product information and inspiration....
If you ever get the chance to go to one of Tim's workshops go....you will not be disappointed, theres so much to learn, try and experiment with, Tim is one of the best in the industry when it comes to knowledge of product....the guy is an ink genius!
Heres some of my technique tags during the class......
One of my highlights was finally got to meeting up with the lovely Zoe and Jenny, we help Zoe, along with Jess and Jennalee (who are USA based) with the huge task of running the Tim Holtz addicts group on Facebook, here we are having a team photo with Tim
And finally a huge thank you to Tim and Mario....
You guys work so hard to bring us the best workshops, creativity and inspiration
we are so grateful for everything you do!
We hope you will be back to visit us all again soon!

Journal panel...

 Hello friends

I hope you are all good!

Today I wanted to share with you a journal panel Ive been working on...
As much as I like to journal...for me,
I find it easier to create on a panel then add it in to my journal later.
I think its because  it allows me to sew into it, add extra layers and if I really like it and am feeling brave, I can then frame it.
I started by using a sheet of Ranger card stock ( perfect for journalling!)
I then layered some vintage text using matte medium.
I then added a layer of gesso then distressed the page using distress ink and paint.
I then built up layers using brush marks in black paint, some text stamping in archival ink and some Idea-ology washi tape.
I then added lots of stitching, some fern leaves, buttons, a vintage key and to finish a framed photo ( both from Idea-ology)
As always feel free to leave a comment, I really appreciate you popping by!

Oh and if you didn't see my last post, I will share with you that Im super excited to share with you that I will be a teacher on Wanderlust 2018
