Dylusions and a catch up.....

 Hello friends
Hope you are all good!
I cant believe its nearly the end of January!!
time is just flying by!
Here's a dylusions page I created for CHA,
featuring some of the new Dylusions stamps....
the background was created with Dylusions inks
I added stitches to the edges and the words.....
(check out the photos....
my 11 year old daughter is turning out to be a great little photographer)
 So where have I been??
I know I've not been around much and I've neglected
my poor old blog!
Well at start of this year I went through some changes,
and without going into details
I had to make some tough decisions.....
not really how I had planned to start 2014!

But with change comes new beginnings
and one of the changes is that
I've now got a new full time
 "pay the bills job"
( I really am, busier than ever but wouldn't have it any other way.... I'm loving it!)

Don't worry I won't be going anywhere,
I will still be creating......
just might not be posting as often as I would like too
so please bare with me while I adjust to
juggling family, work, life and my little shabby shed,

A huge thank you for all your comments, e-mails and support
it really does mean so much!

As always feel free to leave a comment......great to know you popped by
Have a great week!

(I LOVE this moustached gent from the found relatives pack of photographs....had to get him inky)
 a couple of close ups......

As always feel free to leave a comment, great to know you popped by!

Dylusional CHA samples

 Hello friends

I'm back to share something a little different to my normal vintage style......
Here's a couple of dylusional CHA samples
I created for our lady Dyan
using some of her new Dylusions stamps......
The flower stamps are so much can layer them to make them 3D
The colours are dylusions inks, I love the number stamps.....perfect for creating backgrounds
I have to give credit to my 11 year old daughter who offered to photograph these using her new camera sent from Santa! (I think she may have a new job!)
I added some colour to the skeleton using Tim Holtz distress markers

I love this quote stamp......
"Life is yours in colour"
As always feel free to leave a comment, great to know you popped by!
For more inspiration check out these links
here  and here
and to go shopping for the new stamps
hope to be back soon
with more samples to share

Another CHA Project.....

Hello friends!!
Hope you are all well!
Here is another Idea-ology project
I created for Tim Holtz for CHA
I used lots of the new vintage ephemera
(you get loads of tickets, pictures, vintage advertisements....the list goes on!)
To create this project I took a burlap panel and flipped it around to use the reverse to create a shadow box to hold all the layers
I used one of the photographs from the "found relatives" pack (Love these!)
Check out the wooden print block......these are perfect for adding to configurations, shadow boxes, even stuck together on a shelf
I also added an Ideaology glass dome, labels,a vintage key along with some buttons......
(As Im from the UK I had to sneak in the union Jack flag!)
Hope you like was so much fun to create
As always feel free to comment, great to know you popped by!
Hope to share some more later on in the week!
Have a great week

More CHA projects......

 Hello friends!
Hope you are all good.....
just a quickie post tonight.......
Here's  another CHA project
 that I created for
Tim Holtz for the new Idea-ology releases....
For this project I used one of the Tim Holtz journal covers
but instead of using it as a cover, I created a hanging.......
The journal cover was white so
I used distress stain to colour (vintage photo)
I then added lots of Ideaology and layered some of the tags with
some of the tickets from the ephemera packs.....
I also added some of my vintage finds......some French lace
I'm so loving these arrows from Ideaology!
The picture sits inside the cabinet cards, which I had lined with old page text

As always feel free to leave a comment....I really do appreciate each and every one
I hope to blog another tomorrow!
have a lovely evening

CHA project -Ideaology

Hello friends

Hope you are all good....
I've not been blogging much as Its a busy time
I've been busy creating some samples for
Tim Holtz for CHA (craft and hobby association Mega show)
which is taking place right now in Anaheim, California.......
It showcases all the craft new releases......
and wow.... there is some amazing new products being released!!

One of my favourite lines is "Ideaology" from Tim Holtz
I'm loving the new "Found relatives" Its a pack of
vintage style photographs, just so cool!
here's how I used one of them.....
I used a burlap canvas and added white gesso
I then took a cabinet card frame and used the reverse to back the image onto
I also added lots of distressed layers of brown paper, tags and lace
Then I got busy adding lots of Idea-ology, new and old...
The clip is a new Idea-ology addition....... perfect for adding to canvases, cardboard etc.....
I LOVE this looking glass and the arrows are super cool!!
I added the glass to the photo by using a little matte medium to the edges
The word band reads "Live in the moment"so true!!
I used my sewing machine to add stitching
to the edges.
(The key is not idea-ology its one of my vintage finds)

Hope you always feel free to leave a comment
always great to know you popped by

to go shopping for all the new releases

I will be back very soon with more makes to share
