Guest post for AALL & Create

Hello friends
Hope you are all good!
I'm sharing my love of vintage with this old book that I decided to up-cycle
into a journal...

(I will list the stencil and stamps I used at the end of my post)
I started by using the stencil, I pressed gesso through it and left it to dry.
I then added some paints to give it a vintage worn look.

I then did lots of fussy cutting to create a 3D look using the leaves and flowers
that surround the old shutters
I added an old photo and framed it with some rusty wire

To finish I added an old key along with some vintage lace

Here are the stamps and stencils I used...

350 journal panel

Hello friends
Hope you are good!

Today I'm sharing with you a grungy journal panel...
It's been a while since I created just for me, with no deadlines, no samples just totally for myself enjoying the creative process and I loved every second!!
If you follow me regularly, you will know that I  love to create lots of layers.... this definitely had lots of layers of paint thrown at it!
I started by cutting up lots of card then gluing it down like a patchwork....then I threw paints, inks and mediums at it
The 350 numbers are from Tim Holtz idea-ology Layers urban park...I added some paint to distress them along with some distress crackle paste.
I also distressed the chipboard quote
The background was stamped with Tim's glitch 1 and glitch 2 stamps along with  faded type set.
I also used some of the collage typeset paper
to finish I stitched around it to frame it.  I'll add it to my journal later...
As always feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate each on!

Have a great day!

Lost Creativation box

Hello friends

The bases are 2 vignette boxes, a panel frame and a panel board, (all idea-ology)
I embossed some of the metallic card stock using the 'Foundry' embossing folder and covers both boxes.

I used lots of layers of paint and ink to create grunge look, I also added some layers of the collage wrap 'typeset'to add in some of the typography.
To the inside I added lots of ephemera, a grunge up pocket watch, a frame, some of the stitched scraps and a word token.
The lid of the box I added some of the cool type chips framed using a label frame.
I sat the box onto a panel frame to give it a more decorative look.

I really enjoyed creating this box.....I hope you like it too?!

I started off with some mount board and started layering it in paints
I added stitching and a Photo Booth photo, a vintage button and lace
I'll add it into my journal later...
As always feel free to leave a comment....great to hear from you

Guest post for AALL & Create

Hello friends

Hope you are all good!

I decided to embrace more colour and create this mini handmade journal using watercolour paper.

To start, I whipped out my gel plate and made some prints using the Profusion stencil 84 by Olga Heldwein.  These prints would be cut up in to trims or shapes to add to the journal.
Next I took Tracy's Mesh stamp and inked it with distress inks that I gently spritzed with water to give a nice watercolour effect when stamped
I repeated the process using the other stamps by Tracy Evans
I then cut down my pages to create the journal and set about adding some of the cut up gel prints from earlier, I also added some extra tags and text papers.
To finish I added some stitching

More Creativation makes for Tim Holtz

Hello friends...

Hope you are all good!
Today I’m sharing a couple more samples from Creativation that I made for Tim Holtz
I was really excited to be invited to create for Tim,
Out of all of Tim’s products idea-ology has my heart.... I just love it!
I created two vingnette boxes with the finials,
I covered them both in the abandoned papers and got busy grunging them up!
My focal point was the photo booth photo, which I framed,
I then added some of the new ephemera.

Here it is on show at Creativation

I created this box and added a paper doll, the butterfly background is from
the field notes ephemera pack

I love created these boxes...

you can buy Idea-ology from Art from the heart here in the UK
( they ship most places worldwide!)

I’ll be back with my 2 other makes very soon!
Have a great weekend

Guest Post for AALL & Create

Hello friends

Using some of the new releases!
Today I'm using this lovely house stamp set by Janet Klein called Homebody 283
(I will list all the stamps at the end of the post)

I was inspired by Tracy Evans to create an accordion card, (pop over to see Tracy's blog here
using these cute house stamps
I started by using my gel plate to create a background, then
I added stamps from Tracey Evans called Fungus 275 along with the stamp 307 Overlapping
I then did some reverse stencil printing on the 'Homebody' signs using
stencil 87 by Abs called Totally Dotty
I then went in with more paints and ink to highlight areas of the houses
I hope you like how I used them
